"Sitting across from the offering box, He was observing how the crowd tossed money in for the collection. Many of the rich were making large contributions. One poor widow came up and put in two small coins—a measly two cents. Jesus called his disciples over and said, "The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. All the others gave what they'll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn't afford—she gave her all.“ Mark 12:41-44
Family Legacy Missions International
In November of 2013 I moved to Zambia as a full-time missionary with FLMI. Everyone within the organization raise our own support to keep overhead costs at a minimum so donations to the ministry can go directly to the needs and programs for the orphans and vulnerable children we serve. I trust in God's faithfulness to provide monthly and one-time donors to support the work I do here for the education of thousands of children from the slum compounds of Lusaka. If you would like to support me, donations are tax deductible and can be made at www.familylegacy.com/alicia
Crisis Care Kits
Crisis Care Kits can be put together and sent to the distribution center to be given to people in need during disaster response as crises arise around the world. The instructions are simple to follow and will help provide relief when natural disasters strike. My extended family put several kits together at Christmas instead of exchanging gifts this year. It was a really fun project to do together!

EYES WIDE OPEN INT'L
The goal of Eyes Wide Open Int'l is to " Rescue from Crisis, Relieve Suffering, Rebuild Lives and Restore Hope!" They minister to orphans and widows in areas of crisis and have a Children's Home in Haiti where orphans are cared for and given an education. I have a special place in my heart for the co-founders of this organization which you can read about in my Crossing the Chasm blog.
THE A21 CAMPAIGNThe A21 Campaign stands for Abolishing Injustice in the 21st Century. In her book, Undaunted, Christine Caine tells how this organization began. They work to abolish modern-day slavery and human trafficking through awareness programs, prevention measures, legal action, and support services for survivors.

RESTORE INTERNATIONAL
I became aware of Restore International when I read Bob Goff's book, Love Does. The proceeds from the book sales go to his organization. They work in Uganda to restore justice, rebuild lives, and educate children. If you go to their online store you can buy a copy of Love Does for yourself or something like a basketball, chalkboard, or cow to be donated for the needs of the Restore Leadership Academy students. I mean really who doesn't want to buy a goat at least once in a lifetime!
"Until every human receives the dignity I casually enjoy,
I pray my heart aches with tension and my belly rumbles for injustice."
